Rev. Dr. George T. Brooks, Jr. is a passionate servant-leader, educator, and visionary who has dedicated his life to ministry, community service, and empowering the next generation. Born in Nashville, Tennessee, he is the son of George T. and Sarah L. Brooks, Sr. He is joyfully married to Lady Gina Rachelle Brooks, and together they are blessed with six children, three sons and three daughters—and five beautiful grandchildren.
Pastor Brooks is a proud Hunters Lane Comprehensive High School graduate and earned his bachelor’s degree from American Baptist College, where he was a frequent Dean’s List honoree. He holds a Master of Education from Tennessee State University and was awarded a Doctor of Divinity from Shiloh Theological Seminary in Stafford, Virginia.

Today, Pastor Brooks is honored to serve as the 6th Senior Pastor of St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where he continues to lead with humility, wisdom, and a heart for God’s people.

In addition to his pastoral work, Pastor Brooks has spent 18 years as a Special Education Teacher in the Metro Nashville Public School System. He has served as an Adjunct Professor at Nashville State Community College and sits on the Board of Directors for the Tennessee Missionary Baptist Missionary & Education Convention. He also served as Vice President of the Middle Region TBM&E Convention for four years.
Pastor Brooks is deeply committed to youth development and has coached baseball, football, and basketball in local leagues—using sports as a platform to instill moral and spiritual values.
